Tuesday Nights

Due to a hectic work schedule and a lot of family activity (all good), I won't be able to host Tuesday nights here anymore. I will leave everything up and running in case anyone wants to post anything.. Keep checking back for special events! You are, in fact, all invited to a Mabon celebration and handfasting on Thursday, Sept 23, starting at 4 p.m. Hope to see some of you there!

Tarot Workshop, Drum Circles and 2012.

The 4th class in the Tarot workshop went very well with the students completely surprising themselves and each other. The next class on August 10 will focus on perfecting the Celtic Cross reading and learning the Life Pathway Spread. This will be the last class in the Tarot workshop.. complete with a graduation ceremony for the participants.

The drum circles will continue on .. the next one is on August 2. Please make sure to bring plenty of bug spray because the mosquitos are out in force! I do have some citronella candles if someone would so kind as to remind me to put them out..lol.

Starting on August 24, we will be presenting a series of classes concerning 2012. There will be movies and lots of discussions. The first movie will be 2012, The Odyssey starring Sharon Rose. I have seen it and it is a wonderful and uplifting presentation concerning the ideas and concepts about what 2012 is all about. Because it is a fairly long movie and we want to discuss it afterwards, the class will start at 6 instead of 7. Five dollar donations are gratefully accepted and appreciated. Potluck is always welcome. Our journey into 2012 will continue on Sept. 7th with Timewave 2013, a look at what to expect after 2012 according to some of the most spiritually based people from around the world. Class will also start at 6 that night... So bring your organic popcorn and healthy goodies and let's go to the movies!

Osho Zen Tarot Classes at Linda's house.......Starts Tuesday June 15

Our Osho Zen Tarot class was so well received that Linda has decided to do an ongoing workshop on Tarot.

The class will be meeting at Linda's house every other Tuesday..on the nights that the drum circle doesn't meet.

This workshop will encompass the history of Tarot, interpretation of the cards, using your intuition, and sharpening your skills. We will be using the Osho Zen Tarot at first.. and then branching into the use of other decks.

Bring notebooks and pens. Potluck is always appreciated and heartily enjoyed. There is an optional donation of $5.00 per class... but definitely NOT mandatory.

Classes will be held from 7-9. The first class starts on June 15 and the next class will be on June 29. Regular participation is encouraged to get the most from this class. Hope to see you at either the drum circles, the Tarot classes or both!!

Summer In-Sights News..Drum Circle

Because summertime can be a crazy time for most of us.. with all that sun and fun... we have decided to take a summer break from our Monday night classes starting on Monday, May 31st, However, we will still be keeping in touch with an informal drum circle every other Tuesday at Linda's house starting on June 8. So mark your calendars for June 8th and June 22nd. Feel free to join in at anytime after 5 P.M. Bring a potluck dish to share if you are so inclined, and BYOC (bring your own chair) if possible. Extra drums and rattles are on hand if you don't have your own. No experience necessary.. just come and have fun! Thanks to all of you have contributed to In-Sights.. with your sharing and caring. May 24th Discussion: Divining for water and other objects through the use of a dowsing rod has been recorded throughout history. 

In modern times the pendulum has become a divination tool that works on the same principle as the dowsing rod. 

Bring along your pendulum (we will have extras on hand) for a night of "divine" fun.

Osho Tarot with Linda Paul May 10 7-9 pm

The practice of Zen incorporates the philosophy of staying fully present in the now. Osho was a great philosopher and teacher who taught that every human being has the capacity to develop the awareness within that brings a quality of love and light to everything that one does.

The Osho Tarot deck was conceived by Susan Morgan after Osho's passing. Working with his teachings and his students, she wove his beautiful messages of peace, love, understanding and hope amid her amazingly enlightened artwork. The result is a Tarot deck that feels almost alive in it's richness and beauty.

We will be learning more about Osho and his philosophies as well as doing individual readings. Every person in the class will have the opportunity to create their own spread and have it interpreted through the intuitive insights of the rest of the group.

Did you know that trees have their own New Year's celebration?

We will be hosting a Tu B Shvat Seder, an ancient custom of Jewish origin which involves acknowledging and thanking the trees for the many blessings which they bestow upon us. This Seder involves eating the fruits from several different trees and sending thanks to Yahweh and Shekinah.

Come and join us in this special tribute to the woodland guardians!

The Dream

with Linda Paul

Linda Paul will be leading this discussion on dreams.

She has facilitated at several dream workshops in the area and is an online teacher on the subject of dreams for Universal Class.

When we sleep we dream. And, dreams are the key to understanding what our subconscious mind might be trying to tell us in regards to our body, mind and spirit.

Keeping a journal and learning to interpret the symbolism in our dreams can lead to some pretty amazing answers to the problems that we are facing in our waking hours. We will be discussing how to keep a dream journal, nightmares, lucid dreaming and out of the body experiences among other topics.

Bring a notebook and pen to take some notes and a brief synopsis of any recurring or puzzling dreams you may be having for a group analysis.

His metaphysical quest through the world of pyramids has led him into many different areas concerning their construction, their purpose, and the effect they have on the human body. He will share his often humorous insights during this discussion group.. complete with a six foot model of a pyramid.

In-Sights Discussion Dates

Are you feeling like the world around you is spinning out of control and that you are reaching out to try and find other people who are having the same experience? If so.. then In-Sights might offer you some answers.

In-Sights is a new group forming which will address a wide array of subjects through interactive discussion. Led by some amazing teachers and healers.. In-Sights is a place where like-minded people can meet to discuss the ordinary as well as the not so ordinary.

Our first group meeting will be on Monday, February 15, at the space above Somewhere in Time on Rte 184 in Old Mystic from 7-9 P.M. The discussion will focus on who we are (individually as well as collectively), the subjects we would like to find out more about, and the direction we would like to pursue as the group expands.

Refreshments will be served.. but feel free to bring some goodies if you so inclined. :). A $10.00 donation would be gratefully accepted.
